What You Should Know About Light and Your Artwork.

The vary thing that allows us to enjoy photographs and artwork also works to destroy them. This is called ultraviolet light or UV. UV light rays are one of the most dangerous elements that your artwork can encounter. The same light that causes sunburn and wrinkles will also ruin your framed memories, turning them yellow and brittle an making their colors less vibrant.
UV light causes irreversible damage to your framed artwork. Simply keeping your frames out of direct sunlight is not enough. UV light is present in every light present in your home and office – skylights, unshaded windows, even fluorescent and halogen bulbs.
